Niranjan Meegammana
A man with full of ideas

Born in a remote village of Teldeniya and educated at walala central college (presently A.Ratnayake maha Vidyalaya), Niranjan Meegammana presently attached to Ceylon Global Communications as a web master, was the winner of the TOYP-97 award in the scientific and or technological Development category. The TOYP which stands for "ten outstanding Young People", is an achievement award given annually to 10 young people who have made remarkable head way in their relevant fields.
Niranjan, an exciting young man beaming with novel ideas, is a web master who is capable of cruising with you through Internet with the greatest of ease

His focus is always highlighting the Sri Lankan identity on the Internet.
Niranjan is also well versed with the research and development side of IT.
Niranjan has dedicated his services towards the developments of many firsts in his field of work, as introducing the first interactive CD-ROM (Sri Lanka CD) on Sri Lanka in Sinhala and English language. This CD provides a great amount of information on Sri Lanka. 
Niranjan and his team were also responsible for creating some exiting web sites as Taru mal yaya, Taru yaya (Sinhala Music Data Base) with over thousand songs featuring real audio technology for Sinhala music and Kadal Desham; the first Sri Lankan Tamil website with Tamil movies and music and also the development of the first Sinhala & Tamil and English word processor for windows. This product was further developed with many features and was used for developing native language papers on the Internet such as Lanka deepa, Veerakesari, Aratuwa on to Internet while successfully bridging the gap between apple Macintosh and windows platform for Sinhala Language.
His focus now is on electronic commerce. Cey Com Global communication launched an electronic shopping mall named "avakasa kade" with his research and development work. Niranjan believe that these electronic shopping malls will open the Sri Lankan Market to the world. 
Not only does this Web master take up exceptional challenges but he is also truly interested in promoting and serving the country through IT.
