Jackson Anthony

Jackson Anthony, a man of many facets, has successfully combined several careers and applied his diverse knowledge and experience to enhance the dimensions of the fields of Arts in many media; The Television, Radio, Stage and Films.Educated at Galahitiyawa Central College, He then attended the University of Colombo where he obtained a degree in Bachelor of Arts and continued the education to do the Master of Arts and Mass Communication at Sri Jayawardanapura University.

His accolades include the 
Best Supporting Actor (State Drama Festival –1995), 
Best Actor (State Drama Festival – 1986), 
Best Actor (Divaina Sama Drama Festival – 1987), 
Best Actor (UNDA Awards – 1992), 
Most popular actor of the year (Lankadeepa Television Awards – 1993), 
Best Script (UNDA Awards – 1983), 
Most Promising Director (Critic Awards – 1995) and 
The Best Actor (Critic Awards – 1996),
TOYP-97 award in the cultural achievement category. The TOYP which stands for "ten outstanding Young People", is an achievement award given annually to 10 young people who have made remarkable head way in their relevant fields.
His published work includes many Sinhala novels. He is a scriptwriter and a director of many Tele dramas and films. Jackson Anthony’s many talents have now brought him to comparing in many TV programmers and public performances, including the Swarna Sanka Cinema Awards Ceremony.
