Sri Lanka provides 9 local channels with a mixture of three languages Sinhala, Tamil and English. Rupavahini 1 & 2, channels managed by the Government and channels such as TNL, MTV, SHAKTHI, SIRASA, SWARNAWAHINI,DYNA VISION, ITN, and ETV are managed by private companies.

International channels such as CNN, Star TV, ESPN Asia, ESPN India, ETV, MTV, AXN, and HBO …etc can be watched through satellites and most of the Hotels provide these facilities.
